Upgrading from previous Apprenda versions 6.5.0 and 6.5.1 is supported in this release; upgrading from any older Apprenda version is not supported.

Bug Fixes

Apprenda Installer & Upgrade

  • During an Apprenda Platform upgrade, it was possible for the hostname of a Linux node to become mapped to an IP that was not externally accessible, causing the upgrade to fail.
  • When attempting to install the Apprenda Platform, environment validation would intermittently fail with an unhelpful error.
  • When installing the Apprenda Platform onto Linux nodes using the RPM install method, failed validation checks would incorrectly allow installs to continue.
  • The Apprenda Installer's validation processes were not always identifying pending reboots on target servers.

Misc.

  • Browser compatibility mode was not being set automatically for Apprenda portals.
  • If the Apprenda Container on a Platform Windows server was restarted, any guest Windows Service application instances hosted on that server would incorrectly appear as offline.
  • The "Repair UIs" option for .NET user interface host servers in the System Operations Center (SOC) would return an error when clicked (this issue was introduced in Apprenda Platform version 6.5.1).
  • The API endpoint relating to core services health, which is relied upon by Apprenda's System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) Management Pack, was not returning the correct information (this issue was introduced in Apprenda Platform version 6.5.1).
